The California Capital Airshow thunders into Sacramento on September 8-9th!

This year's BIG event will entertain, mesmerize, and educate fans of all ages.

Held at Mather Airport, the two-day event honors the courage and sacrifice of our veterans, as well the men and women who currently serve our great nation while inspiring the next generation to achieve greatness.

Gates open at 9:00AM and close at 5:00PM each day of the event.

Have you always thought you might want to try yoga, but were intimidated by all of those seemingly impossible positions?  Or have you wanted to try a new studio but were hesitant to fork over the drop-in fee in case you didn’t like it?  Well, I have the solution for you!

Started back in 1999 in Austin, Free Day of Yoga takes place every year on Labor Day across the nation.  Participating yoga studios open their doors to any and all aspiring, practicing or simply curious yogis.  This year Sacramento will be participating in the first annual Free Day of Yoga coming up on this Labor Day Monday!

Yoga is a relaxing way to strengthen your body, relax your mind, and energize your day. I have practiced yoga for a few years now but my passion lies in Bikram yoga, which I discovered this year. Bikram is a 90 minute practice that involves two breathing exercises and a sequence of 26 postures. During the last seven months or so I have committed myself to Bikram yoga at Yoga Loka  studio in Sacramento. And I love it! From dedicating a few hours a week to focus on number one, me, I feel strong, confident and healthy!

The temperature may be hot, but the competition is going to be even HOTTER!

Sacramento Suns bring the first ever Australian Rules Football Tournament to the Sacramento region! 

Participating teams include the Sacramento Suns (men & women), Denver Bulldogs, Golden Gate Roos, Las Vegas Gamblers and the San Francisco Iron Maidens.

Australian Rules Football, also known as “Aussie Rules” or “Footy”, is a full-contact sport played without helmets or pads.  It is not rugby, soccer or any other sport.  Players kick or handball the ball (also known as footy) towards the goal to score.  It is the most popular sport in Australia, dating back 150 years.  Aussie Rules is the third largest spectator sport in the world.

This is a free event and opens to the public!
