THIS FRIDAY 12/7: Tree Lighting in Historic Folsom | News
Due to extreme weather predictions the Historic Folsom Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony has been rescheduled for Friday, December 7, 6PM-9PM. Watch the district brighten up as they light the tree, located in the plaza at the ice skating rink. News10's Melissa Crowley will be your master of ceremonies!
6pm to 7:30 pm: Live entertainment begins at 6pm at the Ice Skating Rink in the Public Plaza at the turntable. Special performances by the Folsom High School Jazz Choir, Phoenix Elementary School and Sutter Street Theatre.
6pm to 9pm: Santa visits adjacent to the ice skating rink across the street from Fat Rabbit at Decatur and Sutter Street. Please bring your camera!
6pm to 8:30pm: Free horse drawn wagon rides with stops in front of Snooks and the Sutter Street Steakhouse Building at Sutter and Scott Street.
7:30 pm: Christmas Tree Lighting by News10's Melissa Crowley. NOTE: New location is at the Railroad Turntable inside the ice skating rink.
Other performances: Sutter and Wool Street will feature Sing Inc. Sutter and Scott Street will feature Oscar playing wonderful holiday music.
News10's Coats for Kids drive will take place this evening as well! Please drop your coats off near the ice skating rink ticket booth in the plaza adjacent to the parking structure.
Parking: Parking will be very limited. Please park in the parking structure at Reading and Leidesdorff, Trader Lane parking lot or the lower parking lot behind the Sutter Street Steakhouse brick building at Scott and Riley Street.
